Salary and contracts
Nursing roles in Bermuda are typically offered on a two year contract, with salaries from around 88,000 to 111,000 US dollars depending on specialty and experience. Crucially, Bermuda has no income tax, so what you are offered is very close to what you take home. Packages usually include support with housing and relocation, helping you settle in quickly.
Which specialties are in demand?
Bermuda's hospital recruits across most acute and community areas. We regularly place nurses in ICU, emergency, oncology, dialysis, paediatrics, the operating room, PACU, SCBU, surgical and medical wards, continuing care and mental health nursing, as well as registered midwives. Some roles ask for specific certifications, for example TNCC and critical care certification for ICU posts, or a learning disability qualification for certain community mental health roles.
Registration and requirements
You will generally need a recognised nursing qualification, current registration, solid post qualification experience (often around two years) and, of course, fluent English.
